Nissi Beach has garnered the reputation of being a true paradise-like beach. The sandy golden beach stretches out for more than 500m and is home to crystalline blue waters that shimmer in the sun. The beach was named after the little islet near the bay, which in Greek means island (Nissi). Besides basking in the sun and enjoying the azure water, the blue flagged bay is a favourite destination amongst the younger crowds who love to part during the day and night as famous DJs, beach parties as well as foam parties take place. There are water sports visitors can try like windsurfing, pedal boating and bungee jumping!

Cape Greco was designated as a National Forest Park in 1993. The 365-hectare park boasts with natural beauty and tranquillity. Cape Greco is found hidden between Ayia Napa and Protaras. Named after the Greek word thalassa meaning sea, the Thalassa Museum opened in 2005 in order to provide insight into the island’s marine heritage from prehistoric times to the present. It is a modern and interactive museum, housed in a multipurpose cultural centre. One of the most impressive exhibits is a life-sized replica Keryneia, a 4th-century trading ship that sank by the coast of Keryneia around 300 BC. The museum’s design allows visitors to view the ship from different levels, as well as from a bird’s-eye view. Visitors also view other antiquities such as pottery, ship replicas as well as a marine life section boasting with exhibits such as sea mammals, shells, fossils and shells dating as far back as 130 million years ago!

The Ayia Napa Square is hard to miss as it is found in the centre of the town surrounded by bars and clubs. Even though a small square, the area features benches for those wishing to sit and gaze at the world go by and has an adorable fountain. The square is also the place to find the memorable ‘I Love Ayia Napa Sculpture’ and take a souvenir picture! The sculpture is more than 2m high made of light-brown coloured stone and is even illuminated during the night!

Housed in an old traditional Cypriot residence, Deryneia Folk Art Museum displays how an agricultural family used to live in the past. The museum showcases traditional domestic utensils like kitchen utensils as well as old furniture including beds, tables, chairs as well as cupboards. The exhibition also features agricultural tools and equipment used by farming families of bygone times. All the artefacts on display have been donated by the people of Deryneia Village as well as the surrounding areas. The curator, who also donated the house to the Municipal of Deryneia, is always happy to welcome new visitors and give them a tour of the interesting museum!
